Joanne (Wertz) McCloskey, of Export, was blessed by God with 75 years on this Earth, and then on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, God joyously took her home for her eternal reward and to be with her beloved husband, Anthony. Her life was molded by her faith and her family, and now her reward, her treasure, is to be in Heaven for all eternity with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Heaven is a little richer today, Earth a little poorer. Joanne was born Jan. 8, 1946, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (Keck) Wertz. She was a member of the Murrysville Community Center. Joanne is survived by children, Kelley (Chris) Primozic, Anthony (Karen) McCloskey Jr. and Tracey (Tim) Peace; a sister, Marilyn (Mike) Keister; grandchildren, Becca (Ben) Kadora, Vanessa Van Why, Katrina Douglas (Robert Scott), Lucas Van Why, Lauren Reed and Timothy Peace Jr.; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Gabe, Emma, Mia, Julianna, Savanna and Connor; and many nieces and nephews. Joanne is also survived by extended family who she always considered family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Anthony McCloskey Sr.; and a brother, Bobby. Family, friends and others whose lives she touched are invited to celebrate Joanne's life from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2021. at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, 724-468-1177. Joanne's celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021, in the funeral home. The family asks for everyone to dress casually for both viewing and service.
