John R. Rohal

John R. Rohal, 87, of Jeannette, died Monday, March 14, 2005, in Pittsburgh. He was born April 21, 1917, in Perryopolis, a son of the late John R. Rohal Sr. and Mary Backus Rohal. Prior to retirement, John was employed by the former Harmon Lumber Co. of McKeesport. He was a member of the Ascension Church, Jeannette, and Carpenters Union Local #66. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Cecelia Tangretti Rohal, in 2002; a brother, Joseph Rohal; and a sister, Margaret Thompson. He is survived by a daughter, Susan Rohal, of Greensburg; a son, Jeffrey Rohal and wife, Jean, of Penn Township; two grandchildren, Patrick and Angela Rohal; a brother, William Rohal and wife, Grace; two sisters, Betty Giesman and Mary Hite and husband, Melvin, all of Greensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette, beginning Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Ascension Church with Fr. John M. Foriska as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum, Delmont.
