Larry E. Ament

1961 - 2025

Larry E. Ament, 64, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025. Larry was born on April 11, 1961, in Latrobe, a son of the late Lawrence and Marjorie Zelmore Ament. He was a 1979 graduate of Greater Latrobe Senior High School and a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania class of 1985 with a degree in marketing. Surviving are his brother, Richard Ament, and wife, Lora, of Venetia; his sister, Marla Lauffer, and husband, Donald, of Irwin; nephews, Michael and Kevin Ament; nieces, Lauren Ament and Marissa and Haley Lauffer; fiancee, Linda Vincent; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by an infant sister, Joyce Elaine Ament. Larry enjoyed spending time with family and friends whenever he could. He was a quiet man with a keen sense of humor. Larry was well-loved and will be deeply missed. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025, at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 730 W. Main St., Mt. Pleasant, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, with Pastor Lee Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Joy Cemetery.
