Lewis E. 'Buster' Capretti, 95, of Yukon, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at Excela Health Frick Hospital in Mount Pleasant, PA, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Oct. 30, 1929, in Yukon, PA. Son of the late Louis and Mary (Roscetti) Capretti. He attended South Huntingdon High School and was a lifetime member of the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Yukon, PA. He worked in construction and then started his career as a field service engineer in the nuclear division for Westinghouse (Waltz Mill, PA) in 1969 and later was a founding member of Master Lee Energy Services Corp in Latrobe, PA. In 1999, at 70 years old, he retired. Lewis enjoyed working on vehicles, gardening, washing cars, cutting grass, carpentry, helping friends and family with any project, and doting on his beloved cocker spaniels. He liked traveling abroad through work to places such as Japan, Spain, and Switzerland and annual summer family vacations to the beach. He was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Patsy (Jay) and Bill Capretti; and sisters, Irene Bey (Mick), Alverda Reno, and Nancy Nader (Joe). He is survived by loving wife of 67 years, Rose Ann (Milicevich) Capretti of Yukon, PA; sons, Jim (Cindy) Capretti of Jeannette, PA, Jeff Capretti of San Pablo, CA, and John Capretti of Bethel Park, PA; daughter, Lisa (Tom) Hinkle of Ocean City, MD; grandchildren, Adrienne (Mike) Burke, Jay (Chelsea) Capretti, Jessica (Rob) Miller, Dylan Capretti, Ava Hinkle, Zoe Hinkle, and Neva Capretti; great-grandchildren, Rowan Burke, Marcel Capretti, and Maria Capretti; brother-in-law, John Reno of Yukon, PA; and sister-in-law, Latisha Capretti of Youngwood, PA. Friends will be received from 12 to 2 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at the BEATTY-RICH FUNERAL HOME, INC., Route 136, Madison, PA 15663, Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A private funeral service will be held at the funeral home with Deacon Bob Stauffer officiating. Interment will be private.
