Lillian Martin Obituary

Retired Maj. Lillian J. Martin, 86, of Greensburg, died Saturday, April 16, 2016. She was born Nov. 28, 1929, in Somerville, Mass., daughter of the late William T. and Emily Fifield Martin. She was an officer with the Salvation Army, retiring from the Greensburg Corps. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Frank H. and Jackson R. Martin, and her Associate Officer, retired Maj. Opal Johnson, with whom she worked for 54 years. She is survived by a sister, retired Maj. Helen Bender and husband, retired Maj. Wilber Bender, of Howard, Ohio, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
There will be no public visitation or service. Interment will be in East Lawn Memorial Park, Reno, Ohio.
