Linda L. Ansel

Linda Lou (Squib) Ansel passed away on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at Independence Hospital Mt. Pleasant. She was the wife of the preceding retired Navy veteran Frederick L. Ansel. Linda was born in Derry; she was the daughter of the late William Squib and the late Annabelle (Donahue) Sartaine. She graduated from Derry High School in 1966. She was a tailor, a Navy wife for 21 years, and a mother to two children. She was also a member of the Acme Open Bible Church Ladies Group. Linda is survived by her children: son, Frederick L. Ansel Jr., and wife, Sharron Ansel; daughter, Sherry (Ansel) Helinsky, and husband, Michael Helinsky; and five grandchildren, including Kendra Wagner and Paul Helinsky. The interment will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Muscular Dystrophy Association in Paul Helinsky's name.
