Louis B. Riggi, 82, of Latrobe, passed away Monday, May 4, 2009, in Walnut Ridge Memory Care Center, Hempfield Township. He was born Feb. 3, 1927, in Latrobe, the son of the late John and Mary (Zizzi) Riggi. Prior to his retirement, Louis was the owner and operator of Colonial Cleaners in Latrobe, and had previously been a co-owner of Hotel Loyal in Latrobe. He was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Latrobe. He loved spending time with his children and family at his cottage in Somerset. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, M. Marjorie (Kopcak) Riggi, in 1998; and his sister, Emma Migyanka and her husband, George. He is survived by his wife, Emma Riggi; five children, Susan Bussoletti and her husband, William, of Warren, Pa., Patricia Robinson and her husband, Thomas, of Latrobe, Paula Sulkowski and her husband, Edward, of Latrobe, Maryellen Leventry, of Pittsburgh, and Burt Riggi and his special friend, Sharon Crock, of Latrobe; two grandchildren, Cameron and Chelsea Bussoletti; his wife Emma's children, Ginger Switzer, of Derry, and Bryan Monteon and his wife, Theresa, of Atlanta, Ga.; numerous nieces and nephews; and grand dogs and cats. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Walnut Ridge Memory Care Center for their compassionate care given to Louis. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Holy Family Church. Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park Mausoleum, Hempfield Township.
