I was saddened to read of the passing of this wonderful woman and a true Harmarville icon. The Blumette family was one of the cornerstones of life in our little town. Everybody knew and liked them.
Their lovely house and yard up on Guy's Run Road were well-known with that big grassy yard and many trees.
Her husband Tony operated the Gulf station at the end of Hulton Bridge for years, and he was one of my Father, Leonard Kruth's best friends, along with brothers, Ralph, Sam, and Al. They grew up and played together as kids at the intersection of Rt 28/910 until "progress" bulldozed it all away.
Condolences to her sons Richie and Bobby, who were my neighbors and schoolmates, and all-around nice guys, and to everyone else who knew and loved her.
I hope her last days were peaceful and without pain. If there's a place when we move on, may she be reunited with Tony and be at eternal rest.
