Marilyn (Knor) Lambie, 73, of Fairport, N.Y., died peacefully Monday morning, March 26, 2018. She was born in Herminie. Marilyn graduated from Sewickley High School, where she had been a majorette. While working at US Steel in Pittsburgh, she met Kenneth W. Lambie, her husband of 51 years. Her life journey, as a loving wife and dedicated mother, took her from Herminie to Ann Arbor, Mich., and then to Fairport, N.Y., where she had a home daycare for many years, then went on to become a hair stylist. She enjoyed cooking in general, but loved to bake for every family celebration. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, Joseph A. and Augustina "Augie" Knor; and her brother, Joseph R. Knor. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; son, Scott and his wife, Heather; daughter, Heather Baum; and son, Tim and his wife, Yana; grandchildren, Caitlin and Kara Lambie, Emily, Nicolas, and Abigail Baum, and Alexandra and Lucya Lambie; brother, Ken Knor and his wife, Cheryl; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Marilyn's life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 6, at ANTHONY FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2305 Monroe Ave., Rochester, N.Y. 14618. Interment will be private.
