Marjorie N. Snyder

Marjorie N. Snyder, 94, of Pleasant Hills, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022. Marjorie is survived by her children, Mark (Audrey) Snyder and Merry (Gregory) Daniels; her grandchildren, Landon Snyder, Keely and Aleana Daniels; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles H. Snyder; her sister, Mary Coy; brothers, Robert, George, John, Joseph and David Nelson; and infant siblings, Helen and Paul Nelson. Marjorie was born June 20, 1927m in Hawthorn, to Helen and John Nelson. She was a 1945 graduate of Vandergrift High School, where she met her husband of 68 years, Chuck, and they served together as the president and secretary of their senior class. She was a graduate of West Penn School of Nursing. Following school, she worked as a registered nurse until she began raising her children, becoming the "neighborhood nurse." Later in life, she became a volunteer at Jefferson Hospital. Marjorie was a long time member of the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church, where she was involved in many activities over the years including recording books for the blind. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, tennis, Bridge, flower gardening, as well as bird watching. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, 15236. A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, at the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church, 199 Old Clairton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Please meet at the church.
