Marlene M. Beran

Marlene M. Beran, 75, of Scottdale, died Monday, April 22, 2024, at Scottdale Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Beran was born Nov. 1, 1948, in Mt. Pleasant to the late Leo and Rita Reed Zipnock. Marlene worked with her husband at their business, R and M Recon, in Scottdale for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, puzzles, and cooking. Marlene's true passion in life, however, was her family. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Marlene is survived by her loving family, her daughters, Darlene Beran Fulmer and Diane Beran Franzino; her grandchildren, Sarah Beran (Logan), Julianna Franzino (Jon), Brianna Franzino, and Nicholas Franzino (Alexandra); her great-granddaughter, Aubriella; her brother, Dennis Zipnock (Marianne); and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Beran; and her sisters, Patricia Provlic, and Denise Tucholski. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at GALONE-CARUSO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant.
