Melanie K. (Grubb) Ballantyne, 63, of North Irwin, died Saturday May 18, 2024. She was born Oct. 2, 1960, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late William and Alma (Clapper) Grubb. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William J. Ballantyne; and siblings, Janet Bush, Lois Hood, Bill Grubb, and Karen Nemit. Melanie was an employee of CVS Pharmacy and a member of First United Church of Christ, Irwin. She loved her grandkids. She is survived by her children, Corrine (Chris) Harper of Jeannette, Shaun Ballantyne of Greensburg, and Rochelle Ballantyne of Irwin; her grandchildren, Immanuel, Xavier, Savion, Zion, Azaria, and Nasir Harper and Yasmine, Sasha, and Cade Ballantyne; her siblings, Betty Fenton of FL and Larry Grubb of Sewickley Township; as well as nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main Street, Irwin, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday.
