Melanie Ann Kuncher, 37, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, in Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. She was born Feb. 26, 1973, in Latrobe, a daughter of John M. Kuncher Jr. and his wife, Dee, of Sunrise, Fla., and Ann (Elkin) Kuncher Zoppetti and Ed Mazzoni, of Latrobe. Melanie was a very caring person and was always willing to help others. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George and Dolores Elkin; and an uncle, Jeffrey Elkin. She is survived by her parents, John M. Kuncher Jr. and his wife, Dee, of Sunrise, Fla., and Ann (Elkin) Kuncher Zoppetti and Ed Mazzoni, of Latrobe; a son, Ian Mitchell Canada, of Florida; and a daughter, Madison Paige Kuncher, of Florida; paternal grandparents, John Kuncher Sr. and his wife, Nancy, of Latrobe; and also a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. At the family's request, htere will be NO visitation on Monday, Dec. 20, 2010. Funeral liturgy well be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Interment in Unity Cemetery, Latrobe.
