Michael W. Fiesta

Michael William Fiesta, 84, of Southwest, died on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, in Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital. He was born on July 11, 1941, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Michael and Edna Rosendale Fiesta. Mike was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School Class of 1961 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard. During his life he was employed at Williamhouse, Westinghouse and he retired from Robertshaw Controls. He was a member of the Hecla Sportsmen Club and a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mount Pleasant. He is survived by his wife, Mary Smihula Fiesta; two sons, Michael P. Fiesta and his wife, Michelle, of Mt. Pleasant and William Fiesta of Southwest; his grandchildren, Maria Hann and her husband, Trevor, of Connellsville and Paul Matthew Fiesta of Mt. Pleasant; his great-grandchildren, Roman and Gianna; his brothers, Ralph Fiesta and his wife, Carol, of Greensburg and Donald Fiesta of York Haven, PA; and his sister-in-law, Janine Fiesta of Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Richard Fiesta; and an infant sister, Donna Sue Fiesta. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, in BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X R.C. Church with Rev. Tomas Avila as celebrant. Private interment will be in the St. Pius X Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Mt. Pleasant American Legion Honor Guard.
