Miles F. Pihony

1959 - 2022

Miles F. Pihony, 62, of Natrona Heights, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, at UPMC Altoona. He was born Feb. 13, 1959, in Wilkinsburg, to the late Michael and Margaret (Trainor) Pihony. Miles lived most of his life in Natrona Heights and was a self-employed truck driver for Rose Transportation, Pitcairn, for more than 40 years. He was a member of Tetelestai Church, New Kensington. He attended Penn Hills High School but graduated from Highlands High School in 1977. Miles enjoyed golf, working on his equipment and spending time in his garage. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Nancy M. (Lausberg) Pihony; daughters, Jennifer L. (Bruno) Ekberg, of Murrysville, and Madison M. Pihony (Nate Croyle), of Cowansville ;and grandchildren, Elias and Eva Ekberg and Ivan Croyle. Also surviving are his siblings, Matthew (Linda) Pihony, of Freeport, Michael (Cindy) Pihony, of Penn Hills, and Maureen (Michael) Flanders, of Navarre, Fla. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Maxwell F. Pihony, and a brother, Mark Pihony.
