D. Norma (Moore) Albaugh, 91, of Derry, died on Nov. 26, 2025, at Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital surrounded by her adoring family. She was born on Oct. 6, 1934, in Derry, a daughter of the late Norman "Hock" and Anabel (Foster) Moore. Prior to retirement, Norma worked as a registered nurse and supervisor at Latrobe Area Hospital and at ASB Meditest as a registered nurse. She was a member of the Chestnut Ridge Quartet, Derry First United Methodist Church, and the church choir. She enjoyed traveling the world, biking, playing tennis, singing, playing piano, playing the organ at church, and spending the winters in Myrtle Beach. Norma was preceded in death by an infant brother, John Norman Moore, and one sister, Nancy Jean Keir. Norma is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, William P. "Bill" Albaugh of Derry; two children, Terri Lee Shomo and husband, Tom, of Blairsville, and Tammy Lynne Lyons and husband, Kevin, of Latrobe; two grandchildren, Heather Lynn Welty and husband, Jason, of Jeannette, and Trenessa Elise Smolleck and husband, Stephen, of Latrobe; three great-grandchildren, Asher Lee, Harper Lynne, and Salem Margaret Josephine Smolleck; and three siblings, Barry K. Moore (Ilene, deceased), Erma Lucas Hauser (James, deceased), and Sherrie McDonald (Joseph Dewey), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family will receive friends for Norma's Life Celebration from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, at the MATTHEW X. MERLIN FUNERAL HOME INC., 529 N. Chestnut St., Derry, PA 724-694-8331. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, in the funeral home with Pastor Jason Schweinberg and Pastor Adam Sweigart officiating.
