Paul J. Bielek

1974 - 2022

Paul J. Bielek, 48, of Vandergrift, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022, in AHN-Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. Born Jan. 13, 1974, in New Kensington, he was a son of the late Eugene Bielek and Anna Marie (Kerchensky) Bielek. Paul was a 1992 graduate of Apollo-Ridge High School, and graduate of the former Sanford Brown Business Institute. He was employed for Zoll Medical Corporation in R.I.D.C. Park, first in production, then as a cardiac technician, last working in 2019. Paul was a skilled drummer, painter and excellent cook, especially breakfast! He enjoyed fishing, doing plaster work and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan. Paul loved spending time with his family. Paul is survived by his fiancee, Dawn R. Zolman; son, Jackson Bielek, of Vandegrift; stepdaughter, Katelyn (Zachary) Ritchey, of Saltsburg; grandchildren, Elijah, Oliver and Asher Ritchey; siblings, Lynette (Kenneth) Andring, of Vandergrift, Brian (Carrie) Bielek, of New Kensington, and Sue (Joe) Ralph, of Apollo; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends that will miss him. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, in the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC. Additional viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the celebration of life tribute service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, in the funeral home. Please join the family as they honor Paul's life.
