Paul C. Campbell, 84, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at the Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Paul was born July 5, 1926, in Donegal, the son of the late Chester and Olive (Keslar) Campbell. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, a World War II Army veteran and member of the American Legion Post 446 Mt. Pleasant. Paul was employed for 30 years as a welder for the Walworth Valve Co. Greensburg, 12 years as an assistant furnace man for Lenox Crystal, Mt. Pleasant, and was also employed by County Market, Mt. Pleasant, in their maintenance department. Surviving are his wife, Carrie (Richter) Campbell; a son, Greg Campbell and wife, Brenda, of Williamsburg, Va.; grandson, Christopher Gregory and his wife, Jenny, of Aylett, Va.; and a sister, Louella Calvin, of Miami, Fla. In addition to his parents Paul was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Jean (Glotfelty) Campbell, in 1999; brothers, John Boyd, Hayes and Ross Campbell; and sisters, Ruth King and June Gonzalez. The family is inviting friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday to the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL SERVICE INC., 730 W. Main St., Mt. Pleasant, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Tim Hoover officiating. Interment with full military rites accorded by the American Legion Post 446, Mt.
