Ralph Comito Obituary

Ralph J. Comito Jr. Level Green Ralph J. Comito Jr., 91, of Level Green, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, in William Penn Care Center, Penn Township. He was born Sept. 27, 1920, in Wilmerding, a son of the late Ralph J. Sr. and Cecelia Camperlino Comito. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a supervisor for Westinghouse Electric in East Pittsburgh. Ralph was a member of St. Regis Church in Trafford. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and Korea. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel M. Comito in 2009; four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by two sons, Robert Comito Sr. and his wife, Francine, of Harrison City, and Paul L. Comito and his wife, Jane, of Bradenville; a daughter, Darlene Crossett and her husband, Greg, of North Huntingdon; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Regis Church with Father David Nazimek as celebrant. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville, with full military honors by the Armbrust Veterans Association. The family requests donations in Ralph's name to the Alzheimer's Association, Laurel Mountains Chapter, 1011 Old Salem Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.
