Raymond M. Funk

Raymond M. Funk, 81, of Greensburg, died Friday, June 29, 2018. He was born March 24, 1937, in Sheffield, Mass., a son of the late Raymond and Emma Goewey Funk. He served in the Army. Mr. Funk was a die-hard New York Yankees fan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five brothers and a sister. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Lockenwitz Funk; two sons, Gene (Cheryl) Funk, of Tallmadge, Ohio, and Ray Funk, of Fayetteville, W.Va.; two daughters, Laurie Zorio, of Fayetteville, W.Va., and Shelley (Mike) Aicher, of Fayetteville, W.Va.; four stepchildren, Walter Williams, of New York, Larry Williams, of Massachusetts, Laura Major, of Greensburg, and Diane Shirly, of Sharon; 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Funk; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
