Regina G. Nesbitt

Regina Grace Skurka Nesbitt, born April 22, 1932, in West Deer, peacefully passed away at home Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was 91 years old. Regina "Jeanie" was a graduate in the Class of 1950 from West Deer High School. She enjoyed upholstering furniture, crocheting, baking, gardening and raising her six grateful children.lineRegina, known for her grace, kindness and empathy, leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She was the beloved mother of Michael (Terry), of Ambridge, Christopher (Jane), Daniel (Teruko) and David (Sharon) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Cathlene (Thomas) Wilbrink, of Pittsburgh, and James (Rachelle), of Hampton. Regina was a loving sister to Joan (Sam) Wood, Fredrick (Linda) Skurka and Joyce Skurka. Regina was adored by her 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit and guidance will be deeply missed by her entire family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Nesbitt; her parents, Frederick Skurka Sr. and Josephine (Godlewski) Skurka; a son, Mark; and two sisters, Constance (Stanley) Zak and Patricia (Peter) Skantzos. A memorial service to honor Regina's life will be held at St. Victor's Church (527 Bairdford Road, Bairdford PA) at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (GIVENOW.LLS.ORG). Regina Nesbitt will forever be remembered for her unwavering love, compassion, and dedication to her family. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace.
