Richard Yuhaniak Obituary

Richard A. Yuhaniak, 49, of Latrobe, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, in Excela Health Latrobe Area Hospital. Born Nov. 26, 1955, in Latrobe, he was a son of the late Paul and Thelma Maxine (Johnson) Yuhaniak. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He had been employed by Servpro of Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Yuhaniak; and his beloved dogs, Taylor and Samantha. He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela A. (Koontz) Yuhaniak; a brother, William Yuhaniak and his wife, Laura, of Latrobe; two sisters, Karen Rubino and her husband, Mike, of Latrobe, and Debra Piper and her husband, George "Zeb," of Derry; father-in-law, Dwight K. Koontz, of Bradenville; mother-in-law, Anna M. Koontz, of Bradenville; brother-in-law, Dwight P. Koontz, of Latrobe; sister-in-law, Regan Jones and her husband, Robert, of Front Royal, Va.; four nephews, Shane A. Koontz, Jesse P. Yuhaniak, Nicholas A. Piper and Jacob G. Piper; a niece, Jennifer L. Yuhaniak; and Richard's loving pet, Sadie. Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Military services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with American Legion Post #515 and VFW Post #3414. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Latrobe, with the Rev. James E. Person officiating. Interment is private.
