Robert Kitta Obituary

Robert W. Kitta, 64, of North Huntingdon, peacefully passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, at his home while surrounded by family. He was born April 8, 1959, in Mt. He also enjoyed long Sunday drives and rides on his Indian motorcycle with his beloved wife, Monica. Bob was a member of several charity-based biker organizations. He always looked forward to golfing with his brothers, Dan and Pete. Bob will be greatly missed by his cavachon Dusty. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Carol Mesiarik; and sister-in-law, Helen Ann Chabanik. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Monica Chabanik Kitta; daughter, Ashley (Blake Lloyd); son, Adam (Brittany Kluegel); brothers, Dan (Patricia) and Peter (Donna); father-in-law, William Chabanik; sisters-in-law, Linda Carlson, Margaret Ursta (and the late Nick Ursta) and Roseanne Debruyn (and the late Michael Debruyn Sr.); granddaughter, Sophia Belle; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and -nephews. In loving memory of a wonderful person whom I met only once but felt like I know him since long. We had plans to meet again but God plans trumped ours.
May his soul rest in peace. Amen!

The first time I walked in the front door of the Kitta home, Bob was there to greet me with a big warm hug, and I became family. Bob had a huge capacity to love others. He had a vast repertoire of funny stories and was an expert storyteller, making me laugh so hard I cried. I will miss the hugs and stories, but I know the love remains in the Kitta home with Monica, Ashley, and Adam.

I always enjoyed the days working with Bob at WPIC, I knew we´d have an enjoyable shift with his joking around and stories of motorcycle riding and ghost hunting. Bob always talked about his family and was a proud family man. A stand up guy who was always in a good mood which would rub off on everyone else. A great head of hair that I, as a balding twenty-something at the time was jealous of lol. He´ll be missed but I believe we´ll see him again.
