Robert J. "Bob" Rose, 91, of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021. He was born April 15, 1930, in Aliquippa, a son of the late John and Lenora Gibbons Rose. He was a member of Maplewood United Presbyterian Church, Greensburg. Bob was a cryptologist in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Bob loved fishing, especially in Bass Pro tournaments. He was an avid golfer. His last of several holes in one was at age 80. He had been a member of the former Valley Green Golf Club, the Latrobe Elks and had competed in the Allegheny Mountain YMCA Masters Swimming Association. He started his day feeding the birds and whatever creature came upon his porch. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Norman Rose, and two sisters, Jacqueline Bowman and Wendy Reese. Bob is survived by his wife of 56 years, Evalinda Howieson Rose, and several nieces and nephews, including Barrie Rohrbacher, his wife, Lisa, and their children, Nicole and Jonathan. There will be no public visitation or service. Private entombment will be in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg. Oh Evie, so many memories. Our dinners, visits and friendship are so precious to us. Bob was a wonderful guy, always made us laugh. It goes without saying, our prayers will continue to have God guide you until you meet Bob again.
