Robin Farruggia Obituary

Robin L. Farruggia, 64, of Delmont, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on Dec. 3, 1960, in Monroeville, to the late Guy and Anita (Rosso) Farruggia. Robin worked as a project engineer for Powerex. Robin adored his nephews and nieces. He loved Bowie, The Clash, golf, making sauce, his dog, Bella, dancing in the kitchen, Bob Marley, D&D, Yahtzee, making wine, peanut butter cookies, and the Tragically Hip band. He had a larger-than-life personality and was a friend to all. Robin is survived by his beloved spouse of 34 years, Norma (Sweitzer) Farruggia; children, Benjamin Farruggia and Mollie (Jeffrey) Bell; and his dog, Lucy. Siblings: Guy (Nancy), Dale, Douglas (Robin) Farruggia, and Anita (James) Churrilla. Arrangements entrusted to BASH-NIED-JOBE FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont (724-468-8381). Robin was a lifelong lover of music, so the family suggests donations be made to wyep.org, in Robin's memory. Online condolences can be given at www.BashNiedJobeFuneralHome.com. To follow Robin's wishes, the family will not have a visitation at the funeral home.

My husband and I enjoyed sitting with you and Robin at a Powerex dinner at Mountain View Inn. Talking about recipes and food. Didn´t see him often at work, but I have known Robin for many years. During our time at Powerex, Robin was always pleasant with a friendly smile and greeting. Our sympathies to you and your family. Rudy and Sherry Krall

Robin was genuinely one of the kindest, most generous souls I´ve ever had the privilege of knowing. He had this rare ability to make everyone feel welcomed, valued, and heard-no matter how busy things got.
His love for his family was always at the forefront of everything he did, and it was something I deeply admired. You didn´t need to know him long to realize just how much they meant to him-it was in every story he told and every proud smile.
He also introduced me to The Tragically Hip-a gift I´ll always be grateful for. That music will forever carry a piece of him for me, and I know I´m not alone in that.
At work, he wasn´t just a dedicated colleague; he was a mentor, a steady hand, and to many of us, a work father. He had our backs, offered advice without judgment, and led by example every single day.
We´ve lost more than a coworker-we´ve lost a truly good man. And while his absence leaves a hole we can´t fill, his kindness, his music, his stories, and his warmth will stay with us always.
My deepest condolences to his family and everyone who loved him.
