Sara Sue "Sally" Ott, 93, of New Alexandria, whose vibrant spirit touched everyone she met, passed away peacefully at home in Chagrin Falls, OH, on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born Oct. 29, 1932, in Arnold, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Titina Tamburo. She was the heart and soul of her family the matriarch who built traditions, created memories, and lived life with joy and purpose. Born with a sharp mind and an adventurous heart, Sally began her career working at Herminie Bank, where her intelligence and determination stood out in an era when opportunities for women were limited. Later, she was the secretary and treasurer for Salem Township and, alongside her beloved late husband, built a successful greenhouse business a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and resilience. Family was always at the center of her life. She loved nothing more than gathering loved ones around the table, cooking favorite dishes, and celebrating traditions that brought everyone closer. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and love anyone who visited her home left with a full stomach and a warm heart! Known for her zest for life, Sally traveled the world, loved to dance, and was an engaging storyteller who bridged generations. She loved nothing more than spending time exploring the little things in life with friends and family and embraced every moment with grace and kindness. She was a loving wife of 47 years to the late Robert L. "Bob" Ott; a proud mother to Titina (Tim) Adams, Deborah (Paul) Yurinko, and Rebecca (Rahul) Wadhawan; a doting Nona to Jacob and Maya; Grandma to Amanda (Kevin), Ali (Drew), and Josh; GiGi to Noah, Olivia, and Addison; a caring sister to Sam (Maryann) Tamburo, Yolanda (Harold) Joris, Carol (Larry) Zabkar, and Richard (Patty) Gillgovan; and a caring aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She touched the lives of many and will be sadly missed by family and friends but will always be in our hearts. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, 724-468-1177. Funeral services for Sally will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, in Congruity United Presbyterian Church, 136 Fenneltown Road, New Alexandria, with the Rev. H. Clifton Foster officiating. Everyone is requested to please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, 944 St. Clair Way, Greensburg, followed by a luncheon to celebrate her life. An additional reception will be held in Chagrin Falls on Monday, November 24, 2025.
