Stephen J. Walsh

Stephen J. Walsh, 77, of Harrison City, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, at the VA Hospital in Oakland. He was born Oct. 19, 1944, in Pittsburgh, to the late Joseph and Anne (Kolcun) Walsh. Steve was a very proud Army veteran and he served in Vietnam. He was the current Commander of the Bushy Run American Legion Post 260. Steve owned and operated Walsh's Wallcovering for more than 40 years. He is survived by his loving children, Kathy (Tom) Tometich, Michael (Karen) Walsh and Stephanie (fiance Robert Bennett) Petrusky; cherished grandchildren, Daniel and Megan Tometich, Laura Zyhowski, Jacob, Jason and Jessica Petrusky and Miele Bennett; and a great-granddaughter, Riley Gent. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Christine M. (Noel) Walsh. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022, at LINDSAY-JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, in St. Barbara Catholic Church, Harrison City, with Father Michael Sikon, officiating. Full military honors will follow Mass. Private interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, at a later date.
