Thomas S. Mikula

1948 - 2019

Thomas S. Mikula, 70, of North Huntingdon, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019. He was born Nov. 2, 1948, in Uniontown, the son of the late Matthew and Helen Bealko Mikula. Tom was a graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a bachelor of arts and science degree. He was an avid golfer and fisherman, but his grandchildren were the joy of his life. He was a career salesman and, after his retirement, he enjoyed driving for Lyft. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Gloria "Jean" Brick Mikula; sons, Brian (Sherri) Mikula, of Jefferson Hills, and Eric Mikula, of Shadyside; daughter, Kelly (Thomas) Blaze, of Elizabeth; stepchildren, Jennifer (David) Kratzenberg, of Latrobe, and Lawrence Brick, of Port Vue; nine grandchildren; brothers, Michael (Marie) Mikula, of Olney, Md., and James (Dennis) Mikula, of Ligonier; sisters, Carol "Sis" Sikora, of Uniontown, Mary "Dutch" Strucula, of Uniontown, and Jacqueline (Thomas) Verney, of Bowling Springs, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK CREMATION AND MORTUARY SERVICES, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 200 Leger Road, Irwin, PA 15642. Burial will be held in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Irwin.
