Wallace Spence Obituary

Wallace C. Spence, 75, of Beaver Falls, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001. He was born Oct. 23, 1926, in North Belle Vernon, a son of the late Henry L. Sr. and Martha Mae Mitchell Spence. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, attended the Chippewa Alliance Church, and had been a science teacher, retiring from the Beaver Local Middle School in Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dr. James Kendall Spence and Henry L. Spence Jr. Surviving are his wife of 45 1/2 years, Betty ``Joann' Dillon Spence; a son, Kevin Spence of South Beaver; three daughters, Joyce Spence of South Beaver, Beth Ann Spence of Beaver and Carolynn Spence of South Beaver; and a sister, Audrey M. Spence of Ohio. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME INC., 380 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Kecksburg. Michael P. Hill, supervisor; Kevin J. Kunselman, funeral director. www.hillandkunselman.com.
