Wanda Mardis Obituary

Wanda V. Mardis, 85, of Mt. Pleasant, died on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, in Woodcrest Senior Living, Scottdale, where she had been residing. She was born on Dec. 29, 1939, in South Toe, NC, a daughter of the late Derrick and Mary Glen Harrel Angel. Mrs. Mardis was a 1957 graduate of the former Hurst High School. She retired from L.E. Smith Glass, where she had been employed for many years. She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Mauk and her husband, Tom, of Mt. Pleasant, and Kelly Lesniak of Scottdale; four grandchildren, Justin Greenawalt of Pittsburgh, Katelynn Lesniak of Leisenring, Jacob Lesniak of Mt. Pleasant, and Brayden Mauk of Mt. Pleasant; and two sisters-in-law, Jackie Angel of Johnstown and Gaile Ullery of Mt. Pleasant. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Elwood G. Mardis, in 2018; and two brothers, H. Dean Angel and David Angel. There will be no public viewing or services. All arrangements are under the direction of the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E.
