Alice L. Ash

1924 - 2025

Alice Lorraine Ash, 101, passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, under the care of UPMC Family Hospice in Pittsburgh. Born Sept. 6, 1924, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Elizabeth (Proft) Golla. Alice retired from Regency Hall Nursing Home, where she was a nursing assistant. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Stephen) Ash-Hamon, of Winnipeg, CA; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ash; her son, Clifford Ash; sisters, Marie Sullivan, Ruth Geil, Helen Gallenz, Irene Golla, Mildred Stump, and Beatrice McKee; and her brothers, William Golla, Willis Golla, Wilbert Golla, and Bertram Golla. Friends will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at KING FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park, PA 15101. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church-St. Matthew Parish, 2001 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116.
