Alma Boe Obituary

Alma Marie Boe, 81, of Lower Burrell, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, in Life Care Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born in Georgetown, April 2, 1933, to the late Clarence and Hazel Shaener Dinger, and had lived in Lower Burrell since 1952. A secretary, she worked for the Better Business Bureau, and had been the proprietor, along with her husband, of Keystone Janitorial Service in Lower Burrell. Alma was a member of First Baptist Church, Upper Burrell, and had been involved in the Cub, Girl and Boy Scouts. She, as well as her family, was active in playing blue grass music and Alma was the upright bass player. They played in all of the local festivals and taught and enjoyed square dancing. She also enjoyed camping and canoeing and canoed the Allegheny River from the New York state line to East Brady. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, George Boe; children, Debbie A. Boe Hinkle (Steven), of Voorhees, N.J., George (Betsy) Boe Jr., of Aliquippa, Suzi (Mark) Henderson, of Austin, Texas, and Jim Boe, of Lower Burrell; grandchildren, Sarah Abraham, Lindsay Hinkle, Elysa Henderson, Jeremy Boe, Jacob Boe, Chelsea Hinkle and Lucas Boe; and brother, Wade (Janet), of North Carolina. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Morris. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street, Lower Burrell 15068, where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday by her pastor, the Rev.
