Anne Green Obituary

Anne Kathryn (Nolan) Green, 87, of Latrobe, formerly of Greensburg, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 25, 2025, surrounded by loving family members. She was born on March 3, 1938, in Jersey City, NJ, the daughter of the late Richard James and Frances Claire (Markey) Nolan. Her family moved many times throughout her childhood, eventually settling in the Pittsburgh area during her senior year of high school. She graduated from Seton Hill College in 1960 with a B.A. in Elementary Education. During her sophomore year she met the love of her life, Art Green, at a Saint Vincent/Seton Hill dance. They married in 1962 and enjoyed 63 beautiful years as husband and wife. Anne taught second grade until she and Art started their family. They lived in Monroeville for many years, raising their family and making many wonderful memories together. One of the highlights was the annual vacation to Long Beach Island, NJ, a tradition that lasted for over 40 years. She was a devoted mom and Mimi who placed family as her number one priority. She supported her children and grandchildren at just about every sporting event, concert, musical, dance recital, and every other activity imaginable. She was known for her welcoming and hospitable spirit, hosting family holidays for many happy years. Her smile was brightest when she was cuddling a little one, especially her great-grandchildren. Anne was a dedicated volunteer in a number of organizations, including Angel's Place and St. Vincent de Paul. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and it showed in her selfless love and care for so many people. In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kathy Nolan (Green) Soisson; her brother, Richard James Nolan; and her sister-in-law, Mary Patricia Green. She is survived by her husband, Arthur H. Green; daughters, Mary Beth Siverling (Curt) and Ellen Anne Liberatore (Craig); son-in-law, Paul Soisson; grandchildren, Megan Kaufmann (Andrew), Danielle Curfman (Jason), Collin Liberatore (Brenna), Courtney Hale (Elliott), Ryan Soisson, Jack Liberatore, Anna Soisson, and Sarah Liberatore; and great-grandchildren, Adalyn Curfman, Sophie Kaufmann, Caleb Curfman, and Shepherd Hale. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (Maloney) Nolan; and sister, Anne Joachim Green, CSJ. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, at LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton St., Greensburg. A funeral Mass is to be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, at Saint Vincent Basilica, 300 Fraser Purchase Road, Latrobe. Please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Saint Vincent Cemetery. Our family is extremely grateful to the caring and loving staff at Brookdale, Latrobe, and Bridges Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions that can be made to The Sisters of St. Joseph (www.stjoseph-baden.org) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org). www.bachafh.com. I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me will live, even if he dies. John 11:25

Remember Anna and Art at the many sporting events of our grandsons. She was a special "Lady" and a fellow Setonian. There is joy in heaven.
