Arthur Horace Green, 87, of Latrobe, formerly of Greensburg, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 5, 2025, surrounded by loving family members, only 10 days after the death of his beloved wife, Anne Kathryn (Nolan) Green. He was born on July 23, 1938, in Newport News, VA, the son of the late Dr. Arthur Horace Green and Anne Regina (Donohoe) Green. He lived in Wilkes-Barre during his early childhood before moving to Ambridge. He graduated from Saint Vincent College and Carnegie Mellon University (formerly Carnegie Tech) in 1961 with dual degrees in math and electrical engineering. He earned his master's in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 1970. During his sophomore year at Saint Vincent, he met the love of his life, Anne Nolan, at a Saint Vincent/Seton Hill dance. They married in 1962 and enjoyed 63 beautiful years as husband and wife. Art worked at Westinghouse throughout his career in a variety of positions and traveled to several countries during that time. After retiring, he consulted in Saudi Arabia and then volunteered at home with SCORE, an organization that provided assistance to new businesses. He and Anne lived in Monroeville for many years, raising their family and making many wonderful memories together. One of the highlights was the annual vacation to Long Beach Island, NJ, a tradition that lasted for over 40 years. He was a wonderful Dad, Grandpa, and Pop Pop. He supported his children and grandchildren at just about every sporting event, concert, musical, dance recital, and every other activity imaginable. He was known for his patience and easygoing personality. He served as a volunteer at both North American Martyrs Church and Saint Vincent Basilica, his faith being a central part of his life. He was an avid reader and history buff, winning every game of trivia handily. He played basketball in high school and in recreation leagues as an adult before switching to golf later in life. In addition to his parents and his wife, Anne, he was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Kathy Nolan (Green) Soisson; and his sister, Mary Patricia Green. He is survived by his daughters, Mary Beth Siverling (Curt) and Ellen Anne Liberatore (Craig); son-in-law, Paul Soisson; grandchildren, Megan Kaufmann (Andrew), Danielle Curfman (Jason), Collin Liberatore (Brenna), Courtney Hale (Elliott), Ryan Soisson, Jack Liberatore, Anna Soisson, and Sarah Liberatore; and great-grandchildren, Adalyn Curfman, Sophie Kaufmann, Caleb Curfman, and Shepherd Hale. He is also survived by his sister, Sister Anne Joachim Green, CSJ; and his sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Maloney) Nolan. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, at LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton St., Greensburg. Prayers will immediately follow at noon in the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m., Wednesday, in Saint Vincent Basilica, 300 Fraser Purchase Rd., Latrobe. Interment will follow in Saint Vincent Cemetery.
