Darlene F. Connors Daniels, 79, affectionately known as Darlene to her loved ones, passed away peacefully on Sept. 1, 2025, in Mt. Pleasant. She was born on June 25, 1946, the daughter of the late William R. Connors Jr. and Frances M. Bandemer. A proud graduate of Geibel Memorial High School's Class of 1964, Darlene went on to further her education at Westmoreland County Community College, where she obtained her CNA license in 2005. Her dedication to caring for others shone brightly through her work as a certified nursing assistant at St. Anne's Nursing Home, Twin Lakes Nursing Home for 16 years, and Country Cottage. Darlene loved and cherished her coworkers and the friendships she formed throughout her career, often thinking of them as a second family. Darlene's most treasured moments were those spent with her family. She is survived by her loving children: Katherine Fulton and husband, Kevin, of Champion, Mary Jane Fulton of Alverton, and Kenneth Daniels III of Mt. Pleasant. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Kaylin Hall and husband, Michael, Eric Fulton II and Natalie, Kevin Fulton II and wife, Julie, Heavenly and Collin, Cheyanne, Kenneth R. III, Arwen Daniels, Shay, Eli, Ivy, and Serenity Guzy, as well as Amber Mayberry and husband, Jacob. The joy of her life was further multiplied by her great-grandchildren: Kolby, Lydia, and Paydon Hall, Dawson and Deja Fulton, Ashlyn Neopolitan and husband, Michael, Cera Scherer, Dennis Scherer III, Baylen Scherer, Amity, and Hudson. Her great-great-grandchildren, Michael III and Ezekiel Neopolitan, also held a special place in her heart. Darlene's extended family, including numerous nieces and nephews, will remember her love and kindness. In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Daniels, on Sept. 21, 2015; her son, in infancy, William George Daniels, on Feb. 3, 1968; her brothers, Dennis Connors in 1976 and Vincent Connors in 2014; and her sisters, Mary Roberta Garsteck in 1981, Barbara Prudente in 2022, and Donna M. Smith in 2024. Darlene's interests extended beyond her professional life, focusing on the simple pleasures of being with her family. Darlene's family will greet friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, PA 15683, with Pastor Brian Swan officiating.
