Born June 27, 1944, in Harrison, he lived in Brackenridge and Freeport before moving to Ohio in 1997. He was a 1962 graduate of Har-Brack High School. Mr. Huston worked at Harry Guckert Printing Sales Co., Pittsburgh, for 27 years and later was a salesman at Southeast Saturn car dealership in Ohio. He was a member of Peace United Methodist Church, Pickerington, and a former member of Center United Methodist Church, Fawn, and Christ Community Church, Harrison. He was a former chairman of the Buffalo Township Water Authority and a petition carrier for the Fairfield County Republican Party. He also was a member of Pioneer Hose Fire Co. in Brackenridge, Sarver Volunteer Fire Hall, Buffalo Township EMS, Hilltop Hose Mixed Couples Bowling League, Log Cabin Square Dancers and the Kiwanis in Tarentum. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, hunting, sports and solving crossword puzzles. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Dorothy E. German Huston; a son, David W. (Tamara) Huston Jr. of Pickerington; a daughter, Mrs. Peggy A. (Doug) McMillin of Pickerington; and his mother, Julie Acre Huston of Saxonburg. He also is survived by five grandchildren, Devon and Kylie McMillin and Alyssa, Katheryn and Rebecca Huston. He was preceded in death by his father, William J. Huston. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. James Wagner will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dave Huston Memorial Fund, c/o the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium Development Dept., 9990 Riverside Drive, P.O. Box 400, Power, OH 43065, or to the Heart Center, c/o the Columbus Childrens Hospital Foundation, 700 Childrens Drive, Columbus, OH 43205. Members of Pioneer Hose will meet to conduct a service at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
