Deborah Rivett Obituary

Deborah Ann Rivett, 69, of Cheswick, passed away peacefully Friday, June 2, at home. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert, and their sons, Robert (Rachel) and Steven (Shannan). Born to Morgan and Mary Ann Pattison, Debbie was the oldest of five siblings. She is survived by sisters, Michelle and Mary Ann (Bobby); and brother, Morgan (Terri). She was predeceased by her brother, Larry. After graduating from Springdale High School and Forbes Trail Technical School, she was a dental assistant to doctors Littman and Berger in New Kensington for over 10 years. She was best known as the receptionist at the Russelton-Harmar Medical Group where she served the AK Valley for over 25 years. Debbie's kindness and generosity were limitless, making her a favorite aunt to many nieces and nephews and a dear friend to many more. It was often said that you could not go anywhere with Debbie without running into someone she knew. She enjoyed reading, shopping, lunches with friends, and trips to Oakmont Bakery. But her true passion in life was making her home a beautiful and welcoming place for friends and family. She excelled at planning parties and hosting guests, which made her and Bob's house the center of family get-togethers. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1607 Pittsburgh St, Springdale. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday June 7 at Our Lady of Victory Church Guardian Angel Parish in Harwick with burial will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org). www.jarviefuneralhome.com.

I worked with Debbie a few times at Russellton Medical Group. She was a wonderful person who took care of everyone, always thinking of others. My favorite memories of Debbie are how she always stood for what was right-never backed down from anyone. And how she loved to honor Veterans- she went above and beyond to make sure Veterans were shown the gratitude they deserve. I will miss Debbie.
