Divine Warner Obituary

Divine Daniel-Vestige Warner, 16, of New Kensington, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023. He was the only child of Jackee L. Harris and Raymond Warner Jr. Divine attended Valley Jr./Sr. High School and was a member of the Junior class, where he enjoyed spending time with his classmates. As a youth, he was a member of the Ar-Ken Football Summer Youth League. Divine enjoyed boxing, countless hours in the studio writing lyrics and recording his music, as well as playing video games. His greatest love was spending time with family and friends, going on vacation and having cookouts. Divine is survived by his mother, Jackee LaShay Harris; father, Raymond Warner Jr.; siblings, Chaztlye, Zaiden, Emmanuel, Raymond III and Malik; maternal grandmother, Charise V. Yarbrough; paternal grandparents, Deborah (Brackney-Warner) (Michael) McCloud; great-grandmother, Marion Smith-Reynoso; aunts, Drew Owens, Angelik Owens, Alexis Owens, Leona, Tahira, Rabrena (Harry) Blackwell, Halua and Fontessa Warner; uncles, Jeremiah Houser and Darius Harris; great-aunt and -uncles, Eugenie Veal, Eugene Bailey, Carver Jr., Cameron Richards, Keith, Lionel, Michael, Philip, Cheryl, Brandon, Jordan Lardin, Kara Miller and Pete McFadden; first cousins, Cameron Ham Jr., Maiauna and Rayzale Short, Lilian and Mughleed Eberhart, Jacob, Dae'Var Sr., Travis II, Rosa'lee, LayLah, Izreal, Antonio, Jeremiah, Jordan, Jasir, Kardi and Milah; and his beautiful girlfriend, Ella (their memories will last forever). He was preceded in death by his maternal great-great-grandparents, John (Helen) Griffith II; great-grandparents, Doris (Carver) Richards Sr. and Charles M. (Ruthann) Warner Sr.; great-grandfather, Raymond Brackney; grandfather, Raymond Warner Sr.; and great-aunt, Maria Bailey. Divine leaves a legacy of five generations of surviving great-aunts, uncles, cousins and more. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2023, at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 1150 Fourth Ave. (Asa W. Roberts Way), New Kensington. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023, in the church. Burial will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, New Kensington, 724-337-3325. Divine's mother wants him to be remembered as having a loving smile, silly sense of humor and love and compassion for his family and friends.
