Dolores R. Dorociak

1930 - 2023

Dolores Rita Dorociak, 92, of Lower Burrell, died Friday May 5, 2023, in Pleasant Ridge Personal Care Home, Allegheny Township. She was born June 30, 1930, in New Kensington, to the late Venise and Sophia Kosheba Pelisari and had been a resident of Upper Burrell the majority of her adult life. Mrs. Dorociak was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell. She retired in 2015 from management science associates at age 85 and had previously worked the snack bar at Penn Street, New Kensington, as well as a variety of other places throughout her life. She was a former member of the VFW Post 92 Ladies Auxiliary, Upper Burrell, Shamrocks Drum and Baton, Upper Burrell Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to read, play cards, travel, play bingo, gambling, visit and care for friends and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Leonard Dorociak, of Montgomery, Texas, Lynn (Gary) Hare, of Upper Burrell and Diane (Dale Negley) Wiles, of Lower Burrell; grandchildren, Michael (Cassie) Dorociak, of Princeton, Texas, Kyle (Brittani) Dorociak, of Houston, Texas, Sean (Yana) Hare, of San Francisco, Calif., Ryan (Maria) Wiles, of Massillon, Ohio, April (Tony) Fusaro, of O'Hara Township; great-grandchildren, Hudson, Hanna and Harper Dorociak, Roman and Constantine Hare, Gia Simonson, Stella and Angelo Wiles, and Alexander and Augustus Fusaro; brother, Richard (Sandy) Pelisari, of Fresno, Calif.; and sister-in-law, Betty Stull, of Lower Burrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Dorociak; sister, Lorraine Lasik; and daughter-in-law, Molly Dorociak. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street where prayers of transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday followed by a Christan Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church.
