Dorothy Misejka Obituary

Dorothy D. Misejka, 74, of Tarentum died unexpectedly at 9:51 a.m. Friday (Nov. 15, 2002) in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born Sept. 14, 1928, in Harrison, she lived in Tarentum most of her life. She was a custodian for the Highlands School District. Mrs. Misejka was a member of Holy Martyrs Roman Catholic Parish, St. Clement Worship Site, Tarentum. She enjoyed baby-sitting her grandchildren, camping and music. Survivors include three sons, Ronald J. (Linda) Misejka and Joseph A. (Geralyn) Misejka, both of Natrona Heights, Harrison, and Kenneth L. (Michelle) Misejka of Tarentum; and two sisters, Mrs. Bernadette (George) Mudrinich of Frazer and Mrs. Carol (Michael) Malecki of Buffalo Township. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Lisa Pacek, Ronald (Hillary) Misejka and Jeffrey Misejka, all of Natrona Heights, Mrs. Kelly (Tim) Schriver of Buffalo Township, Casey Misejka and Kristen Misejka, both of Harrison, and Kayla Misejka, Ashlee Misejka and Nicole Misejka, all of Tarentum; and five great-grandchildren, Thomas Pacek, Dylan Pacek, Caitlin Misejka and Evan Misejka, all of Natrona Heights, and Timothy Schriver of Buffalo Township. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Misejka, in 1984; her parents, Leo and Genevieve Kort Pater; and two sisters, Florence Witucki and Ruth Klucinec. Relatives and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 10th Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Clement Worship Site, Tarentum, with her pastor, the Rev. Robert M. Miller, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
