Edward V. Dobrowolski

Edward "Ed" V. Dobrowolski, 88, of Bell Township, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, in his home. Born July 27, 1937, in Tarentum, he was a son of the late Edward C. and Pauline (Drahos) Dobrowolski. Ed worked for the Valley Daily Dispatch as a layout specialist for many years before retiring in 1989. He proudly served our country with the United States Navy. Ed was a member of Spring Church Lutheran Church, the Parks Township Sportsman Club, and Pioneer Hose Company in Brackenridge. He was also a certified EMT. Ed enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved watching war movies. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his daughter, Jamie Lynn Dobrowolski. Ed is survived by his wife of 42 years, Madeline L. (Moore) Dobrowolski of Bell Township; his daughter, Lisa (Cary) Walters of Cleveland, SC; his grandson, Samuel Walters of Cleveland, SC; his brothers, Rich (Pat) Dobrowolski of Washington Township and Bob (Maryann) Dobrowolski of Tarentum; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025, in CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY INC., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, in the funeral home, with Pastor Brad Ferko officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Armstrong County Honor Guard following the service. Private burial in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.
