Edward J. Sheehy

Edward J. Sheehy, 71, of Latrobe, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at the Harmon House Health and Rehab Center in Mount Pleasant. He was born Jan. 31, 1954, in Latrobe, a son of the late Charles D. and Pauline Kerekesh Sheehy. Ed was Roman Catholic by faith and had graduated from Greensburg Central Catholic High School and West Virginia University. He had worked in advertising sales for the Tribune-Review and the Pittsburgh Press and Post-Gazette. He had a great sense of humor and a caring nature for all. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Father Dennis E. Sheehy and Michael P. Sheehy. He is survived by his brother, Charles D. Sheehy, and wife, Phyllis; a sister-in-law, Cynthia Bates; several nieces and nephews, Megan K. Sheehy Melucci (Nicholas), Molly M. Creenan (James), Colleen P. Sheehy DeGroot (Joseph), Patrick Sheehy, and Virginia Sheehy; and great-nieces and -nephews, Daniel Melucci, Charleston DeGroot, Melissa Cox, and Hunter Winters. At his request all services were to be private with burial in the St. Vincent Cemetery.
