Ellen L. Bollinger, 82, of Cabot, formerly of North Apollo, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at Lund Care Center, Cabot. She was born July 23, 1931, in Apollo, the daughter of the late Raymond C. and Eva Haynes Rupert. Before her retirement, she was employed as a secretary at both the First Evangelical Lutheran Church and the John Guthrie Insurance Agency in Apollo. She was a devoted member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Ellen enjoyed sewing and cross-stitching. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Kupas and her husband, Bill, of Sarver; a son, Michael S. Bollinger and his wife, Camille, of Pinehurst, N.C.; two grandchildren, Christopher J. Bollinger, of Philadelphia, and Jason M. Bollinger, of Cranberry; a sister-in-law, Roberta Ollinger, of Jeannette; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Bollinger; a son, James L. Bollinger; two brothers, Rodney H. and Kenneth C. Rupert; and two sisters, Eleanor R. Faber and Marylin R. Lula. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Riverview Cemetery in Apollo with Pastor Phil Gustafson officiating.
