Elroy T. Weimer

Elroy T. "Ted" Weimer, 84, of New Kensington died at 6:45 p.m. Saturday (May 11, 2002) in Autumn Grove Care Center, Harrisville.

Born Dec. 3, 1917, in Casselman, he lived in the Valley most of his life. He was a 1936 graduate of Somerset High School and a 1940 graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting. Mr. Weimer was an accountant at Alcoa, Pittsburgh, for 40 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of United Presbyterian Church, New Kensington. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Clarice Lawrence Weimer; a son, Scott L. Weimer of New Ken-sington; a daughter, Mrs. Wendy (Tom) Nadolny of West Sunbury; a brother, Harrison R. Weimer Jr. of Monroeville; and two sisters, Ardythe Weimer of Oakmont and Mrs. Muriel (Robert) Ellstrom of O'Hara. He also survived by two grandchildren, Mrs. Mandy (James) Pierce of Upperville, Va. and Joshua Nadolny of Strasburg, Va., and a great-granddaughter, Rachel Pierce. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison R. and Edna Tedrow Weimer. Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in CHURCHFIELD-PETERS FUNERAL HOME, 501 Fifth Ave., New Kensington, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Officiating will be the Rev. L. Kenneth Hooten. Private burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
