Gerald W. Schmucker, 90, passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, at Angela Hospice in Livonia, MI. He was born on June 27, 1934, in Latrobe, PA, to the late Robert and Virginia (Shirey) Schmucker. Jerry graduated from Indiana Tech and worked as a mechanical engineer for Westinghouse during most of his career. His passions included camping, fishing, hunting, square dancing, and working on cars. Jerry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Roberta. He also is survived by his children, Vickie, Debbie, Rina, and Wayne; as well as his stepchildren, Deb, Bob, Jim, and Barb; his brother, Roy; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah; brother, Bob; and his daughter, Lori. Visitation took place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., on Monday, Oct. 21, 2024, followed by a funeral service at VAIA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont (724-468-1177).
