Harold E. Brown

Harold Edward "Fast Eddie" Brown, 86, of Apollo, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025, in Longwood at Oakmont. Born Feb. 17, 1939, in Apollo, he was a son of the late Harold T. Brown and Violet (Glass) Brown. Ed was a graduate of Apollo High School and served our country with the United States Navy. He was an entrepreneur and owned the Burgly Gas and Oil Company for many years. Ed liked classic cars, enjoyed landscaping and traveling, and had a strong work ethic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Reichard; and his beloved dog, Junior. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Roberta Ann (Szymanowski) Brown; daughters, Tracy Miller of Apollo, Terri Zinchini of Apollo, Lori Shumaker of Spring Church, Linda Buhagiar of Leechburg, and Julie Geraro of Apollo; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, David Brown; a sister, Betty Ann Black of Leechburg; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, in the Pleasant View Brethren Church, 1156 Pleasantview Drive, Vandergrift, PA 15690, with Pastor Todd Ruggles officiating.
