Harry L. Armour

1938 - 2025

Harry Lee Armour, 87, of Lower Burrell, passed away on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025. He was born on Aug. 29, 1938, in Freeport, to the late Edmond and Ivalee Armour. Harry was a veteran who served in the United States Army. He then had a career at Edgewater Steel as a pipefitter for many years. Upon his retirement, Harry channeled his passion for art and creativity into a booth that allowed children to design colorful sand art at local fairs and festivals. He was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time in nature. He created many wonderful memories with his family on camping trips to Pymatuning State Park. He also enjoyed the beach and spent winters in Fort Myers Beach, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents mentioned above; brothers, Raymond (Eileen) Armour and Ralph (Karen) Armour; sisters, Bernadine Armour and Norma Jean (Cleland) Armour; and infant son, Kurt Armour. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 60 years, Christine (Krisha) Laskowski Armour; his four children, Kelly Ann Armour of Lower Burrell, Todd "Freddie" Armour of Tarentum, Brent Christopher Armour of Sarver, and Chad Edward Armour of Lower Burrell. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Caitlin and Cody Hanford and Donavin Armour. Family and friends will be welcomed from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025, at DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth St., Freeport, (724-295-3100). The Reverend Jonathan D. Hill will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.
