Iva S. Leight

Iva S. (Enos) Leight, 95, of Bairdford, West Deer Township, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at her home. She was born July 15, 1930, in Addison Township, Somerset County, to the late Elmer S. and Katie C. (Platter) Enos. Iva worked as an assembly worker for MSA for over 25 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Bairdford United Methodist Church, Bairdford. Iva enjoyed cooking, crocheting, quilting blankets, gardening, and canning, though she enjoyed spending time with family most of all. Survivors include her daughter, Edith M. Puwalowski, with whom she lived, and numerous loving grand, great and great-great-grandchildren. Her twin sister, Mamie Butler of Somerset; and her sister, Minnie Yutez of Frostburg, MD. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben C. Leight; sons, Ronald and Raymond Butler; two grandsons; a great-granddaughter; and several siblings. Friends received from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the blessing service at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025, with the Rev. Jerry Pawloski officiating in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer. She will be privately laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
