James J. "Jim" Goglio, 91, of Cabot, formerly of West Leechburg, passed away on Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, at Concordia at Cabot. Son of the late Edward Goglio and Amelia (DeBernardi) Goglio, he was born on July 19, 1934, in New Kensington. Jim was a graduate of Leechburg Area High School, Class of 1952, and was employed by Allegheny Ludlum Steel Co. for 42 years with a specialty in metallurgy and marketing. As a marketing manager, he traveled internationally to create and manage accounts for the company. When not at work, Jim enjoyed fishing trips to the Arctic Circle in Canada, reaching pristine fishing areas with a North American Native tribesman as a wilderness guide. He would often bring fish home to be enjoyed by his parents, sister, and the family. Jim also loved to play golf and was a member of both Hillcrest Country Club and Brackenridge Heights Country Club, where he often played cards and entertained steel company executives and clients. In service to his community, he sat on the Board of Directors for Citizens General Hospital for many years. As a bachelor throughout his life, Jim dedicated much of his time, attention, and resources to his widowed sister, the late Dolly Molnar; his two nephews; and his niece. Ever-present at holiday dinners, family celebrations, and truly every significant event in their lives, his profound generosity enveloped the family in seemingly endless ways. This extended across generations to his great-nieces and nephews as well. Jim was always available to lend his expertise to individual career and financial planning matters, and his wise counsel was invaluable. In the last decade of his life, he chose to reside across the hall from his sister, Dolly, at Concordia at Cabot. They ate all of their meals together and continued to support each other throughout their final years. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved sister, Dolly, who passed away in May of this year. He is survived by his two nephews, William Molnar of Richmond, VA, and Richard Molnar of Long Neck, DE; his niece, Kristen (Molnar) Frock of Glen Burnie, MD; eight great-nieces and nephews, Karly, Suzanne, David, Michael, Rebecca, Cody, Jessica, and Haley; and 10 great-great-nieces and nephews, Oliver, Myles, Clark, Bradley Ann, Reed, Harrison, Kanan, Timothy, Noah, and Waylon. Friends will be welcomed by his family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, at CLAWSON FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at Christ the King Church, 125 Park Road, Leechburg, with the Rev. Alan N. Polczynski as celebrant.
