John R. Sorisio

John R. "Rick" Sorisio, 75, of Leechburg, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, at Harmony at Harts Run in Glenshaw. A son of the late John Sorisio and Evelyn M. (Cummins) Sorisio, he was born Sept. 24, 1950, in Natrona Heights. Rick had been employed as a manager of computer operations by Westinghouse Corporation (specifically WESCO Distribution) in Pittsburgh for 40 years, having retired in 2015. He was a great supporter of his grandchildren in their academics and activities, including musicals and sporting events. He enjoyed everything about baseball and listening to and following the Moody Blues. Rick was an avid reader of U.S. history and Episcopalian by faith. He actively volunteered in his community. In retirement, he was a dedicated volunteer for the Leechburg Shade Tree Commission and the Leechburg Recycling Center. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pamela K. (Miskinis) Sorisio of Leechburg; his sons, Matt Sorisio (Jill) of Leechburg and Ben Sorisio (Amy) of Bridgeville; four grandchildren, Anne, John, Jacob, and Anthony Sorisio; a brother, Clayton J. Sorisio (Pamela) of Leechburg; a sister, Regina M. Hritz (Thomas) of Canonsburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends will be welcomed by his family from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, at CLAWSON FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051. Funeral ceremonies will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, in the funeral home, with Rev. Colleen Klingensmith officiating. Private interment will be held at St. Catherine Cemetery in Gilpin Township. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Leechburg Shade Tree Commission.
